Wow Portage, Indiana and Jen Hyde did an outstanding job !!
Their first annual DAC show raised $3100 which was donated to
the American Cancer Society in memory of Chanice Barnes and in
honor of Dancers Against Cancer. Chanice died of kidney cancer
and was a sister to one of the students at Portage High School.
THe following studios put on a wonderful show: Civic Dance
Center, Mirror Image, Toni's Dance Studio, Works In Motion Dance
Co., PHS MCJROTC Drill Team, PHS Indianettes, PHS Color Guard,
PHS Cheerleaders, PHS Girls MCHROTC, Indiana Junior Miss, PHS
Alumni, and other PHS students who performed. DAC also would
like to thank Portage High School and Portage High School
National Honor Society for hosting the show. Can't wait to do it

Thank you so much to The Colony Cultural Arts Board and the
following studios, A Time To Dance, Dianne Cole Johnson
School of Dance, Ingredients Dance Co., iNStep, Repertory
Dance Theatre of Texas, Rhythm Junkies, Studio Dance Centre,
SAM Tap Trio, and The Colony High School Topcats Dance Team.
On November 10th these studios, with the help of CCAB, put
on their first annual Dancers Against Cancer show. The
Colony's show raised $2000 for the Wipe Out Kids Cancer
Foundation. Thank you again to the CCAB for all their
assistance in helping DAC fight cancer.

Dancers Against Cancer was in Cedar
Rapids, Iowa on May 17th. The following studios performed in
the 3rd annual show held in CR: Art In Motion Dance Academy,
Baile Latino, Dance Arts Iowa, Desert Rose Dance Academy,
Intermix Crew, MovMnt Dance Co., Studio Dance, and
Univeristy of Iowa Dance Team. The Especially For You
Foundation received a donation in the amount of $2000. Once
again Mr. Blackwell donated the use of Regis Middle School.
We were also honored to have Miss Iowa Junior Teen, Mikaela
Paulsen-Brown, with us as well.
