Our mission is to use the art and beauty of dance to
reach into our local communities and encourage the understanding and
support of breast cancer awareness.
We would like to

On March 8th Denise Lehman
and Innovations Dancer Center donated $2000 to Dancers
Against Cancer in honor of Marlyn "Granny" Johnson. Jody
traveled to
Plainfield, Indiana to meet Marlyn, Denise, and
all the teachers and students. Maryln is a 5 year survivor
and is truly loved by everyone at the studio. Dancers
Against Cancer greatly appreciated the donation and
immediately put it to use.

Event Schedule
Thanks to Whitney Johnson, Dancers Against Cancer was once again
in Portage, Indiana.
With the help of Civic Dance Center, Mirror Image Dance Academy,
Origins Dance Academy, Portage High Alumni, Portage High Pom
Team, Portage High ROTC Honor Guard, Portage High Girls Unarmed
Exhibition Squad, Portage High Students, Toni's Dance Academy,
Works In Motion Dance Academy, and Whitney's hard work we raised
$3000 that was donated to Portage's Relay For Life. Thank you
again and can't wait to do it again next year!!
Texarkana: September 19th, 2009
The show in Cedar Rapids, Iowa held on May 16th at Regis
Middle School was wonderful; raising $1500 for the
Especially For You Foundation. Thank you to the following
studios and dance teams: Art In Motion Dance Academy, Desert
Rose Dance Academy, Just For Kix, MOvMNT Dance Company,
Nolte Academy of Dance and Stott Pilates, The Dancer's Edge,
and the University of Iowa. The evening was filled with lots
of entertainment and a wonderful silent auction. Especially
For You helps women in need with their medical expenses,
mammograms, etc.
